Digital Video Recorder
We use an 8 channel digital video recorder (DVR) during our investigations to help record events in which there is object manipulation or manifestations.
We chose our particular DVR because it has weather proofing, night vision capability and CCD sensor optics. The DVR system is used in such a way that allows us to cover large areas without having to have an investigator present. We then later review the videos during analysis for debunking or event verification.
The night vision is useful because investigations are usually conducted in the dark to reduce ambient energy fluctuations. If someone thinks their house is haunted then we try to get the ghost to interact with our instruments. If the investigation area is powered up then the sensors in our devices will give false readings.
